Holy! Holy!
Holy!
Isaiah
6:1-3 says:
"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a
throne, high and exalted, and the train of his
robe filled the temple. Above
him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and
with two they were flying. And they
were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the
whole earth is full of his glory."
The
Hebrew word for `holy' is No. 6918. qadowsh, kaw-doshe'; or qadosh, kaw-doshe'; from H6942; and means:
sacred (ceremonially or morally); (as noun) God (by eminence), an angel, a
saint, a sanctuary:--holy (One), saint.
Notice
how many times they cried HOLY. Three times. Three is the number of The
Government of Grace. Anytime there is a
throne, anytime there is government, anytime there is sovereignty, you will
always find there are threes in the bible.
1. God is manifest as Father, as Son
and as Holy Spirit.
2. Jesus said, "I am the way, I
am the truth and I am the life."
3. The Kingdom of God is not eat or
drink but Righteousness,
Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit.
4. Jesus said, "I am the one who
Was, and Is, and Is to Come."
5. Redemption is Death, Burial and
Resurrection.
6. In Him we live, and move, and have
our being.
7. Now abideth these three, Faith,
Hope and Charity.
And the
greatest of these is Charity. Almost always the greatest is always last. This
speaks of The Third Dimension.
The third dimension is sovereign because it is all God. In death, burial, and
resurrection; man can kill you, Joseph of Amerithea can bury you, but only God
can resurrect you!
The
seraphim’s could not have only cried two times because then they would have not
been full of glory. The only way you can fill the house with glory is to enter
into the third dimension of grace. If you want to fill your house, your temple,
with glory you must move into the third dimension. This is the absolute
fullness of God so that it is not you anymore rather it is God through you, and
in you and by you.
These
angles were not just saying, "Holy!" they were CRYING HOLY! It is one
thing to shout unto God but there is a dimension in praise that we have missed!
And this dimension is what we do with each other. Let's get our directions
right. Worship is vertical! Praise is
horizontal! Worship is between your
heart and God. You are worthy! Oh Lord! For example, in Exo 15:11 it says,
"Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you-- majestic in
holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?
Praise
on the other hand is between you and someone else. Paul said in Acts 17:28:
"In Him we live, and move and have our being." We have our being. We have our purpose. We
have our place. We are worthy of being something. Paul did not say, "In
Him we have live, and move and have our doing.
We say that we come to church to praise God. But
the truth is that God is not praised, God is worshiped. This doesn't mean that
you can't praise God, but you praise God to one another.
You
don't praise God to God! You worship God to God but you praise God to each
other. Horizontally. If I praise
someone I am not necessarily talking to them but usually I am talking about
them to someone else. I am creating
glory for them.
Everything
done in this heavenly tabernacle that Isaiah saw is what Moses tried to pattern
and copy in his earthly tabernacle that he set up in the wilderness. Moses had
been carried up into the mountain by the Spirit of the Lord and had caught a
glorious vision when he cried, "Show me thy Glory!" "I don't just want to see the
pattern. I want to see the real thing.
So God
hid Moses in the cleft of a rock and His glory passed by and Moses was allowed
to view God from the backside. He wasn't allowed to look God in the face
because the perfect Lamb had not yet been sacrificed. So he was only allowed to
view the plan of God from the backside, the Old Testament side.
All
these things that Moses dealt with were types and shadows of things to come.
However, when they killed the Lamb, the perfect sacrifice, we were allowed to
walk through the shadow to where Jesus is seated at the right hand of the
Father, not on the backside, but face-to-face. However, Paul said in 2 Cor 3:18
concerning us:
"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory,
are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes
from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
Moses
must have seen the holy temple in heaven and also saw the seraphim’s crying one
to another. “He's Holy! Holy! Holy!
Lord God of host!” And they cried one
to another! They were creating glory for God and He stepped out into the glory
they were creating.
We have
had the false concept that the glory comes down from God to us. Perhaps because
He said that He would not give His glory to another. He simply said that the
glory we create is for Him and no other. The only place He is enshrined and the
only place He will dwell in is glory. The only atmosphere in which God will
manifest His power in is glory.
David
said that God dwells in the praises of His people. In Acts 4:31 it says, "
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were
all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly." And in
Acts 16:25 after Paul and Silas had been flogged and cast into prison it
says, "And at midnight. Paul and
Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And
suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison
were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands
were loosed."
It is
very important that you understand what is continually taking place in heavenly
sanctuary. Rev 4:6-11 says:
"Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of
glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living
creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion,
the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like
a flying eagle.
Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with
eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying:
"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to
come."
Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who
sits on the throne and who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall
down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and
ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
"You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor
and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and
have their being.”
Notice
that Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord
God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." Since the beginning of
time as we know it they have never stop crying, "Holy! Holy! Holy!"
And John said, "I fell on my face as though I was dead. The glory of God
will still prostrate men and devils!!
Glory
is the only place that God will manifest His power! You may sing well but if
you don't give him glory nothing happens. You may play the instruments good but
if you don't give Him glory nothing happens! You can preach good but if you
don't give Him glory nothing happens! Glory is the place God will manifest His
power!
The
Lord told Moses in Num 14:21,
“But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be
filled with the glory of the LORD."
If I
can't get it done with these people I will find me another people somewhere. If
they won't do it over in Parkersburg and if they won't do it down the road, I
will find someone somewhere to give me glory.
Maybe those children of mine at New Live Christian Center will give me
the glory.
When we
come to church we say, “We have come to praise and worship the Lord and if we
do this good we will create a good atmosphere for the preacher.” We say, “We
are going to praise Him because the Lord loves for us to praise Him.” “You know, the Lord needs our praise.” I
really hate to burst your bubble but the Lord does not need our praise. He is
Sovereign without our praise.
You do
not make Him anymore God because you praise Him. You don't make Him any greater
because you worship Him. He was great before you came along! Before you ever opened your mouth! He
doesn’t need my praise but I sure do need to praise Him because when I praise
Him it creates glory for Him to manifest His power in and I need His power to
be manifested in my life.
In the
scripture the word `glory' is used 510 times.
393 of those 510 times the word either in the Hebrew or in the Greek
means something given to God. In the Hebrew the word is 3519. kabowd,
kaw-bode'; splendor or
copiousness:--glorious (-ly), glory, honour (-able). It simply means
that He is to be glorified.
Psa
65:1 says, "Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in
Sion........" Psa 50:23 says,
"Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his
conversation aright will I
show the salvation of God."
If my
conversation is ordered rightly my lips will continually give Him the praise
for all things. Mal 3:16 says,
"Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the
LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence
concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name. "They will be
mine," says the LORD Almighty, "in the day when I make up my
treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his
son who serves him. And you will again
see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who
serve God and those who do not.
“Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the
arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will
set them on fire," says the LORD Almighty. "Not a root or a branch
will be left to them.
But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise
with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released
from the stall. Then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under
the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things," says the LORD
Almighty."
We have
already seen in the book of Revelation, "Thou art worthy to receive glory,
honor and power." In the Greek the word for `glory' is 391. doxa, dox'-ah;
from the base of G1380; glory (as very apparent), in a wide
application (lit. or fig., obj. or subj.):--dignity, glory (-ious),
honour, praise, worship. A whim, a whisp,
a vapor, a thought, a hunch, a hint, manifest with the mouth.
When
someone says, "I really felt the presence of the Lord here tonight."
they did not give Him any glory because, as long as it is in you it is spirit.
His Spirit within you is a well of living water but it is supposed to be springing
up to everlasting life.
Jesus
said in John 7:37, "Out of your belly shall flow Rivers of Living Water.”
A river is something that flows in a direction to a destination. It has some
place to go. So it is with the river of Living Water in you. Release the FLOOD GATES! Jesus said,
"Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" Why are you
sitting there with your mouth shut??
In
Isaiah 6:3-4 says,
"And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the
LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried,
and the house was filled with smoke."
If the
posts of the door moved in the heavenly tabernacle there is a chance that some
of that glory leaked out.
Let's
turn to Ezek 47:1 and see if Ezekiel said anything about what was coming out of
the eastern gate.
“Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and,
behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for
the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from
under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.”
Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me
about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looked eastward; and,
behold, there ran out waters on the right side. And when the man that had the
line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he
brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.
Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the
waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me
through; the waters were to the loins.
Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not
pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not
be passed over."
Notice
that all of this was flowing out of the Throne of God. But where is the throne
of God? In the temple. Where is the temple? Paul said in 1 Cor 3:16,
"Don't you know that you
yourselves are God's temple and that
God's Spirit lives in you?"
The
throne of God is in your temple. When you begin to praise God in your temple
the Smoke of your praise will shake the foundations of your mouth gate and out
of your mouth will come the glory for God to manifest His power.
